Key markets include Thailand, Japan, and Nepal, where China emerged as a top source of tourists in early 2018. Despite a rapidly growing market, less than 10% of China’s population travels abroad, presenting vast potential. Nepal’s tourism strategy faces challenges, including service standards and limited marketing time, as it aims to attract half a million Chinese tourists by 2020. A robust, targeted marketing plan focusing on major Chinese cities is crucial for success.
